NGO Senator — Belize National Assembly
Janelle Chanona serves as the 13th Senator, representing the NGO sector in Belize's National Assembly. An award-winning journalist and civil society advocate, she brings extensive experience in governance, transparency, and environmental rights.
Dr. Elma Kay
Chairwoman, Board of Directors
Dr. Elma Kay is a leading environmental scientist and policy expert in Belize. She chairs the BNN Board, providing strategic direction and technical leadership on governance, environmental law, and the Escazú Agreement.

Vice Chair, Board of Directors
Charrice Talbert serves as Vice Chair of the BNN Board, supporting organizational oversight and civil society engagement. She is an experienced NGO leader committed to building stronger non-profit institutions across Belize.
